Spring / Summer 2015 Nike SB by James Jarvis

Words by Bossman75

It’s impossible not to love the characters James Jarvis draws. From the large and colourful, to the small and simplistic. The little guy from his 52 Spheres, Spheric Dialogues and Objects in Space works is back and he’s front and centre on the latest Nike SB collection. The London based artist’s love of skateboarding is common knowledge and this release reflects that.

“I didn’t want to reference the hammers.  I wanted to ask, what is skateboarding?  What do I love about skateboarding? And my take on skateboarding is that it’s a philosophy.  If you skateboard, suddenly the world is a different place.  It’s a different view of the world.” – James Jarvis

The Nike SB Art Thief design embodies the fellowship between illustrator and brand, and the Double Time t-shirt pays tribute to the iconic skateboarder Gino Iannucci. Whether you are into skateboarding, comic art or both, these t-shirts are for everybody and available from Nike and size?.
