Bedwin and the Heartbreakers AW15

While the 90s Brit nostalgia trend seems to be in full effect, the wonderfully-named Japanese menswear label Bedwin and the Heartbreakers have looked across the pond for their Autumn Winter 15 collection. Drawing inspiration from The Beastie Boys’ seminal style, their seasonal offering features a more relaxed fit in comparison to the typical Bedwin aesthetic. Less prevalent are the slim, cropped Dickies – a staple of recent collections – in favour of a looser style that breaks over the iconic adidas Campus. Outerwear and shirts, however, are far more in keeping with what we’ve come to expect from Masafumi Watanabe’s brand, with a selection of re-imagined prep and sportswear staples, sprinkled with the odd military reference. Overall, Bedwin’s new-season look feels very current, but eschews the pitfall of mawkish nostalgia. We’re a fan.
